The state of Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with paradisiacal beauty which is beyond any comparisons. The Lakes of Kashmir deserves special mention as they add panoramic views and sheer beauty to the snow capped mountains of the valley. Wonderful houseboats floating on these lakes and beautiful flowers encircling the lakes fill one’s heart with ecstasy and joy of being in the lap of nature. Kashmir has many famed lakes among them Dal Lake deserves a special mention.

Dal Lake:- Inspiration to many poets Dal Lake is the biggest and most mesmerizing lakes of Kashmir. Floating gardens, houseboats and Shikaras are the main striking features of the Dal Lake that attract visitors from across the globe. There are around 600 houseboats both big and small floating on the Lake. Visitors not only enjoy the luxuries of these floating villas but can enjoy the spell bound beauty of the surroundings that change dramatically after every few kilometers.

Nagin Lake:-Calm and peaceful Nagin Lake originated from Dal Lake is encompassed with breathtaking mountains and beautiful trees. The only ripples in the serene water of Lake is caused by the water sports activities that include sailing, water diving, skiing etc. Visitors can enjoy houseboat stays and Shikara rides as well.

Anchar Lake:- The Lake is like a paradise for bird where the visitors will enjoy bird watching and identify many of the rare species that are close to extinction. One can hire Shikara to reach the man made canals of Anchar Lake.

Pari Mahal:- Pari Mahal was founded by Dara shikoh the eldest son of Shah Jehan for his Sufi teacher Mulla Shah. At one point of time it was a Buddhist Monastery and is now a treasures procession of the state. Located on the hill the garden dazzles in the night with radiant lights.
