Aru Hill Station

Tranquil and serene meadows of Aru Valley are situated at a distance of 107 km from Srinagar. The chirping of birds, the splash of fresh breeze and the sapphire colored sky make the Aru hill station one of the worthy hill stations to visit on a tour to Kashmir. It is located 2408 m above the sea level bordered on one side with a ravine of Liddar River. Travelling to the hill station of Aru offers a complete break to the visitors from the stressful mundane daily work schedules. The blooming nature amidst cool climate makes the stand still valley of Aru as the most scenic hill stations of Jammu & Kashmir. It offers wonderful view of water reservoirs and mountains. The major attraction of the hill station of Aru is a 24 Km long trekking route to the Kolahoi Glacier situated at an altitude of 3,200 m above the sea level. While trekking on the route visitors can come across various panoramic views of the surroundings. Overa Aru Biosphere Reserve is another nice place of this hill station to hang out and spot some of the endangered species of the animals. Running through this golden meadow in the ravine of Liddar River, along the small steam flowing through the Aru hill station makes it one of the must visit hill stations of Kashmir.
